Biography
Ashley Cutright has been performing in operas and musicals professionally since receiving her Master’s in Music from Manhattan School of Music in 2010. She was praised in the Washington Post for for her performance in the lead role of Hannah in the contemporary opera, As One; "Her luminous mezzo soprano voice and radiant acting which externalized inner conflict".She has sung leading roles with many companies across the US and Canada including Anchorage Opera, Pensacola Opera, Tulsa Opera, Opera Iowa, Opera North, Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Urban Arias, Opera on the Avalon, Enid Symphony, Opera Neo, Opera Iowa, Skylark Opera and Des Moines Metro Opera. Ashley has developed a passion for new music, while maintaining a love for the classic repertoire; as the title role in Carmen remains one of her favorite characters to perform!
